# Getting Started

Everything runs against the hosted API at `https://api.agent-identity.dev`. There is
nothing to deploy — install the SDK and go.

**[Quickstart](/docs/getting-started/quickstart)** — the shortest path from nothing to an
agent that has sent an email and woken up on the reply. About five minutes, in TypeScript.

**[Agent signup](/docs/getting-started/agent-signup)** — the same onboarding written for
an agent to follow itself, as plain HTTP calls.

**[Authentication](/docs/getting-started/authentication)** — how organizations, API keys,
and the two actor types work. Worth reading early, because "org key or agent key?" is the
question behind most 401s and 403s.

When you are ready to build, the **[TypeScript SDK](/docs/sdk)** guide covers the whole
client, and the **[REST API](/docs/api)** page covers the conventions behind it.
